The Week of Sept. 28

We will continue reading Oedipus as a class this week. Our goal is to complete the play by Thursday and use Friday for a review. The end test for Oedipus will be on Monday, Oct. 5. You will be given an Oedipus final project assignment at the end of this week & it needs to be completed by Wednesday, Oct. 7.

The Week of Sept.21

Monday, Sept 21: In-class writing on The Alchemist
Tuesday, Sept. 22: We will begin studying the Greek Theater and Sophocles today by viewing a PowerPoint presentation. You will be assigned to respond to the following item in a one page (typed-MLA format) paper: Discuss ways in which destiny can be predicted and whether or not if you buy into it (10 points-HW). This is due Wednesday, Sept. 23.
Wednesday, Sept. 23-25: We will begin reading & discussing Oedipus as a class.

Due Monday: The alchemy internet research questions & pages 51-79 of The Alchemist
Due Wednesday: Pages 80-127 of The Alchemist
Due Friday: Have the novel completed!

We will be creating a Found Poem using the novel. The due date for this assignment will be announced at a later date.
