We will discuss Romeo and Juliet over the next couple of weeks.
Wednesday, March 3: You will be taking a background test on Shakespeare and the Elizabethan Theater. Please review the entire webquest you completed in class, the handouts I have given you on the Globe Theater, the notes we have taken (actor-sharer, noble-patron, etc.), and the terms found on the PowerPoint Presentation (iambic pentameter, oxymoron, aside, concealment, blank verse, couplet, prose, soliloquy, malapropism, sonnet). You will also be responsible for the information discussed on the CD How William Became Shakespeare. The quiz will include multiple choice, fill-in-the-blank, and a short essay response.
Due Friday, March 5: Today you must have a typed response (MLA Format) about the balcony scenes we viewed in class. Refer to the handout for the specific instructions.
Due Thursday, March 18: Romeo and Juliet Log Entry & End Test
Beginning Wednesday, March 17: We will begin the Shrunken Shakespeare Group Project. Performances will take place the week of March 22.
